Extraordinary flowers

I thought it was a praying mantis Orchid, a flower, an orchid flower that looks like a praying mantis. But I was totally wrong! It is a praying mantis (Hymenopus coronatus) that mimics an orchid flower for a camouflage. It has got its name because it resembles the flower of an orchid with its four walking legs resembling flower petals. Most orchid mantises are white, but there is also a pink to purplish colour morph. What an extraordinary nature! I put this image in extraordinary flowers post, because on the contrary, there are also some genus of orchids look like animals. So let’s get confused and let nature amazes us!
Bird Orchid (Pterostylis barbata)
White Egret Orchid (Habenaria Radiata)
Monkey face orchid (Dracula Simia)
Flying Duck Orchid (Caleana major)
