UBER
Without any intention to find out about ‘Uber’ I found out a creepy article of this online hiring vehicle (cabs and also bikes). Then I googled more about ‘Uber’. Geezuz, all I read about it made me think ahead.. what kind of creepy news and stories I am going to hear and read about this UBER in the place where I live, one day?!?! After I read about UBER’s drivers horror stories, for sure, I will never do online hire and ride any of UBER vehicle by myself, even though it’s emergency. This UBER cabs (and also bikes) have been active online to be hired since August 2014 in the country where I live, but I just recently read the articles about UBER’s creepy drivers in other countries. I remembered, about 2 weeks ago, a young man has been politely asked for an address of a person. He seemed nice, without I had to ask, he told me that he’s UBER’s driver, the car he is driving is a new car, but has problem with battery. I hope what people (in other countries) have been (uncomfortable, creepy, horrible) experienced with UBER’s | drivers won’t happen here, but after I read articles about UBER, my sense said, it will be happened the same creepy, later. Or maybe it might be a possibility that it had been happened, but the victim passengers reluctantly report to the police officers. Because it was passengers fault to hire UBER’s cab, there are other legal cabs, well, twice higher rate though!
I do hope there are others who also found out about UBER’s articles online. Or I hope my analyzing sense is wrong. Kalanick is a proud adherent to the Cult of Disruption: the faddish Silicon Valley concept which essentially boils down to “let us do whatever we want, otherwise we’ll bully you on the Internet until you do.” To proponents of Disruption, the free market is king, and regulation is always the enemy. Kalanick treated his UBER taxi drivers in New York. When he was trying to convince them to break the law to boost UBER’s footprint in the city, Kalanick offered yellow cab drivers free i-Phones and promised to “take care of” any legal problems they encountered. A few short months later, the service was forced to close. |
